What is a Site Survey?

Aperto, Mesh Wifi, and  Motorola's Canopy™ technology's require line-of-sight to one of our antennas placed around North Idaho. A site survey is required in order to receive our services. We will send out a technician to survey the area and see if coverage is possible. We do not schedule appointment times for site surveys unless special circumstances dictate that we need to schedule an appointment. For example, if guard dogs roam the fenced property, we would need to know about that. We will then let you know of the result of the site survey by either of the two methods listed below. We will attempt to do the site surveys within 2 business days; however the site surveys do occasionally take longer.

What Does Line of Sight Mean?

Line of sight means that the antenna has to be seen with no trees or bushes in the way. An obstruction of the radio to the antenna will cause slower speeds and/or loss of signal. This includes leaves, branches, trees, shrubs, hedges, other buildings, future buildings, etc.
