Our Network
Intermax Networks is a link between the national and international fiber internet communications backbone and local and regional users. Our local backbone stretches from Liberty Lake, WA to Sandpoint, Idaho over licensed high capacity microwave links which we own.
For reliability purposes we connect to the national network in two places - Tierpoint Networks in Liberty Lake, Washington (formerly LLIX) and 180 Networks in Coeur d'Alene - giving us unique path diversity and redundancy in North Idaho.
We have major tower distribution points on Blossom Mountain south of Post Falls, on Canfield Mountain, on Little Blacktail Mountain, on Schweitzer Mountain and on Baldy Mountain near Sandpoint. Additionally we have multiple "repeater" sites that extend the redundant network into remote rural areas.
Intermax's two network operations centers exist in state of the art facilities that include:
- Unparalleled Carrier-class and carrier-neutral fiber infrastructure
- Redundant and diverse UPS systems with multiple on-site diesel generators
- Advanced fire detection and suppression
- Temperature controlled environment
- Raised anti-static floors
- 24/7/365 secure access with multiple dual-factor authentication zones via electronic key entry, PIN access, and biometric scan securities.
Along with private microwave wireless networks, Intermax also specializes in Private Cable Operations merging data and video into fiber-driven head end distribution systems. Working with both coax and fiber to the home options, Intermax integrates state of the art data, video, and voice into planned unit developments, office buildings, MDUs and Apartment Complexes.
